Your journey begins with a guided tour through the shire at dusk. Make the most of the remaining daylight and step inside the world of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Trilogies walking through the 12 acre site, whilst your guide recounts stories about the films. Bagshot Row’s doors are finally open! Step inside the real home of the hobbit by venturing beyond the door for a up close and personal glimpse of how hobbits live. Explore the detailed interior of a Hobbit Hole designed by the creative teams behind the original film trilogies.
Then continue on the pathways of The Shire past the Millhouse onto the stone bridge entering the famous Green Dragon Inn for a complimentary carefully crafted Frogmorton Ginger Beer (Non-alcoholic). Move through to the dinning area of the inn and enjoy the delectable banquet feast fit for a Hobbit. Tables filled with traditional Hobbit Fare and as is the tradition in the Shire, second helpings are encouraged. Food is plentiful and the desserts are delightful!
After dinner you will rejoin your guide to make your way back through the paths of The Shire, with illuminated paths and handheld lanterns you will cary to light the way. Take in a new perspective of Hobbiton Movie Set under the moonlight and travel through the village viewing spectacularly lit up Hobbit Holes with smoking chimneys and lanterns.

Hobbiton
Experience the real Middle-earth with a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set, the setting for The Shire that featured in the Peter Jackson-directed film, “The Lord of The Rings”.
Your tour starts with a drive through the picturesque 1,250-acre sheep farm with spectacular views across the Kaimai Ranges. Your guide will escort you through the ten-acre site at dusk recounting fascinating details of how the Hobbiton set was created. The Hobbit holes, Green Dragon Inn, Mill, and other structures created for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, can be viewed and you will see how this beautiful piece of Waikato farmland was transformed into “The Shire from Middle-earth”.
