Day 1
Depart Auckland 28 Princes Street CBD 1010 (unless otherwise arranged). Travel to Arataki visitors centre and take in the breathtaking views across the Waitakere ranges, then Auckland’s west coast and black sand beach at Piha. Piha is one of New Zealand’s best-known beach, and it has a reputation for rugged surf. It was the birthplace of New Zealand board riding in 1956 and has been the scene of both New Zealand national and international surfing championship competitions.
Dip your feet in the water and enjoy the once in a life time views. Remember your flip flops as the black sand can get pretty hot at times. Walk up to Lion Rock or take a nature walk along the forest track to the beautiful Kitekite waterfalls.
