Rotorua and Taupo are famous for geothermal hot springs, Maori Culture and adrenaline-pumping activities such as bungy jumping, whitewater rafting and sky diving. Note: some activities are weather dependent!

Day 1

Depart Auckland 28 Princes Street, Grafton, Auckland 1010 (unless otherwise arranged).

Travel to Rotorua and spend the afternoon exploring Rotorua or taking part in an optional activity. Check into accomodation. Dinner at own arrangement. In the evening option to take part in an optional activity.

Overnight in Rotorua:

Day 2

Breakfast (Included).

In the morning option to visit Wai O Tapu. Travel to Taupō and visit the famous Huka Falls that has more than 220,000 litres of water barreling through the chasm at every second.

Lunch at own arrangement.

Take part in a Taupō optional activity or enjoy the beautiful lake front. Lake Taupō is the largest crater lake in all of Australasia. Travel back to Rotorua. Dinner at own arrangement.

Day 3

Breakfast (Included).

Load bags on bus and depart accommodation.

Final opportunity to engage in an optional activity in Rotorua before departing for Mt. Maunganui.

Travel to Mount Maunganui and enjoy the rugged surf beach or the calm waters of Pilot Bay. You can walk up the extinct Volcano Mauao, rising 232 metres above sea level providing 360° views of the Bay of Plenty. Explore the beach town’s eateries, boutiques and great walks.

Depart Mt Maunganui and travel back to Auckland arriving back to your drop off point (approximately 6:00pm*) *Times are approximate, please allow for variances in times due to chosen options and possible unforeseen circumstances.
