Tongariro is New Zealand’s oldest national park and a dual World Heritage area. This status recognises the park’s important Maori cultural and spiritual associations as well as its outstanding volcanic features.

Arrive in the small village of National Park. It is important to have the correct equipment for tramping tomorrow. Here we can hire jackets & boots if needed. Check into accommodation. We will have a meeting to discuss your optional activities for Sunday. You must make up your mind today in order to book activities in time. Your guide will show you where to have breakfast and make your own lunch ready for tomorrow’s 7-hour hike, the most amazing great walk in NZ! Free time!
Dinner: own arrangements there is café/ restaurant. Free time relax in the spa open till 9pm!
LUNCH: We will stop for lunch along the way back to Auckland (own arrangement)
After a great morning we make our way back to Auckland around 9pm.*
